Neil & Wendy Shipman

Neil and Wendy are in their 31st year of marriage, and entering their 21st year with the Meadows Church. They have experienced the changes of life in and out of the Church. The gain from the pains of the Church history is worth fighting for in order for the continuity of a healthy fellowship. They take delight in helping with the burden, often shouldered by our infamous Pastors Adam and Anita, to provide a genuine connectedness to our fellow members. "Is there anybody out there?" may be a cry we can respond to with even a simple phone call.

We have all experienced the game of facades, even in Christian circles, however when we are really connected with our Maker we should see the reflection of His attitude through our lives and so the game of facades is really over. However it doesn't take away the need, in a human sense, for each person to feel appreciated, to feel befriended, and to feel part of the Body of Christ. Steering people away from any sense of loneliness or the feeling of being ignored can only be good to those who want to be encouraged. To facilitate in maintaining a right spirit and hope, for others to enjoy, when we connect to each other, we believe brings a sense of well-being of belonging and purpose to His Kingdom.

Neil and Wendy have 3 adult children who have all grown up in the Meadows Church and the 2 still living on the Kapiti Coast serve in the Church.
